I Would Never!!!

If, hiding the true feelings,
Is called being realistic,
I would never..

If, to fake a smile, with least intent,
Is called being polished,
I would never..

If, forgetting the value of relationships,
Is called being independent,
I would never..

If, forgetting how to laugh,
Is called being refined,
I would never..

If, to leave behind innocence,
Is called maturity,
I would never..

If, to forget the child in you,
Is called growing up,
I would never….

Politeeks!!

Completely dedicated to the politicians jumping, hanging and swinging on the grills inside Vidhana Soudha, shouting on top of their voices, those who tore their shirts and vest in the power house of the state, those who throw the chairs and tables at others and to all the noutankis appointed by poor Mango People (aam admi)!!!

Who ever named this state,
as hell, absolutely right,

Employee Version

I was the brightest one in the whole crowd and I was very happy that, the day I step out of the campus I’d be employed. I wanted to perform at my best, add to my employer’s efficiency, being productive at a lesser cost.. What not!! Like any fresher!! I’d loads of dreams.

And one fine day, all the necessary papers were signed and I was officially employed.

It was all fine in the initial few days (yes, only days!!). I was fed full stomach, washed and serviced on time!! Even I always tried bringing more smiles on my employer’s face. Everything was just perfect, till the time, this lady employer of mine started behaving like any typical lady drivers!! Goshh!! To hell, with her sense of driving!! Always jumping signals and say sorry to Cops!! I hate the way, the cop checks me out, in such situations!! Not my mistake!! Top of it, when I met with my first accident, I was crying my heart out for the scar I had on my nose, but this stupid gal went around happily telling everyone that, she hit a police vehicle and got away with a smile!! Any care n concern about me!! No way!!

Moreover, she daydreams!! happily singing song while riding, looking at the hoardings for timepass, what not! It has become my responsibility to be extra careful and drop her to her place!! Sigh!!

I have now developed a sense of being ignored, not being appreciated for all my efforts. And everyday ride is nothing but just a routine for me!

Employer Version

How many ever sweet friends I’ve, I didn’t like the feeling of being “Dependent”. For the very reason I decided to buy a two wheeler for myself. The biggest hurdle was my over protective mom. Tried my best, convinced and zeroed on buying a Honda Activa. I just love my vehicle. I feel I’m a free bird to fly to places anytime. I, no more have to wait for autos or any of my friends to pick me or drop me!!

But, with petrol price hike, I no more fill it full tank. Just as much as I want for the day. And even servicing, I just take it to the near by Garage once a while. Doing my bit to keep the vehicle functioning efficiently.

What??? Should I’ve to keep saying thanks to the vehicle!! Doesn’t make sense to me! In spite of any amount of appreciation, mileage is not going to shoot up!!

Happy Beginning, Sad End!!

When my work timings changed and I was able to go home early, I was happy. But that didn’t last long!! I was welcomed by my mom's favorite non-stop super duper soap, which made no sense to me!!
Here are few!!
1.
Villain no 1(V1 is madly in love with Heroine no.1 (Hn1)
But, Heroine no.1(Hn1) loves Hero no.1. (H1)
And they are about to tie knot soon!!
Oh, the V1 is so very angry now,,, wants to stop the marriage, so that he can get married to Hn1 later.
And, he gets a very bright idea. With the help of all his right hands/left hands (V2, V3, V4….), he kills a Side Role no.1 (SR1)
Ok, now, SR1’s wife (or say widow) is Hn2.
V1, with all his family influence, tries and forces that H1 gets married to Hn2. (H1, like any other hero, is interested in helping others)
Now, H1 & Hn2 are together,,
voila,, Hn1 is now there for V1.
***applause for V1 (for his bright idea)****
[Magar Kahani mein twist, H1 doesn’t get married to Hn2, but they are just living together. H1 still has the option of running away with Hn1]
Arey buddu V1, can’t you think straight and reduce all those extra characters like SR1, Hn2, V2, V3………………………..
2.
A simple happy village girl is getting married to a District Collector. (yessss!!!)
She is even happier that she is getting married to a District Collector
And she goes around with her family and friends telling that, her fiancée is a District Collector
And the girl’s dad is very happy that his daughter is getting married to a District Collector
He invites the whole village for his daughter’s marriage with District Collector
Girl’s dad and mom, discuss with each other as to what they should buy as gifts for District Collector
So on…………………….. District Collector!
Alright!! I’ll stop here,, Even if mom loves them to the core,, I hate them as much. But this word “District Collector” is so prominently heard, even if locked myself in the room. So decided to be little attentive, but all in vain. Even after a week, I didn’t get that Groom’s name,, all I know is he is a District Collector.
3.
Maid gets hurt while DUSTING and cleaning.. It’s a very small scratch. But, the Chotee Bahu (Bahu 3) comes running, puts a band aid, tell her to rest for a while and actually gives her a chutti, but without anyone’s consent at home (woowww, what an employer!! I appreciate her concern).
The drama begins after that.
Bahu no. 1, bahu no. 2, MIL no. 1, MIL no. 2, Aunt no 1, Granny no. 1 are all in panic state, coz the maid is not to be found around. They crib about the work pending at the moment - Vessels, clothes, cooking for a big family of more than 10…. Oof!! They discuss every bit of it, sitting on the couch!! But, won’t move their butt an inch!! Grrr,, (Now, that’s what I call employee exploitation!!)
During the whole conversation in the family, Bahu 3 is tensed. [Camera Zooms in, Zooms Out repeatedly to show her emotions very clearly]
After a big drama, she mutters that she has sent the maid home!!
The scene changes instantly, everyone is one their feet to finish the work at home and the MIL 1 very sweetly asks “hey, you could have told earlier itself”
Yes dear!! Even I say the same!! It would have reduced some 20 mins torture!!
I’m not all that keen to go home early anymore!!!!

I am all about you, you know it..

I know you are there
The rarest of rare
You walked out my life
And now I'm despair

You've filled all my mind
My thoughts are all yours
Now you've left me alone
I am numb and love blind

Please come back to me
And bring back my peace
Let's show the whole world
Our love's not so weak

My life's out of order
It's only just getting harder
Can you get our smile back
And make it a little broader
-Madhu Nandan

(I was delighted when I read it!! Oh, I'm so much in love with Love Poems.. Happened to bump into some notes & found this good piece and wanted to share with you all.. Thanks again Madhu Nandan)

Too random :)

44. Saw Dhoni playing during Asia cup and I was thinking "for which ad, this actor is posing with a bat?”. After a second, I realized, "Oommfff, he is a cricketer, and for once he is doing his work".

36. Favorite stress buster in office is watching "Waka Waka" and loved Shakira a lot.

90. 4 trips in 5 weekends, each with different friends' gang.

10. No post in the month of May and my plan to read "Ghalib" like always, pushed forward and haven't touched the book for years now.

27. Hugs are such a relax. Happened to exchange many hugs with my best buddies, to fight fear, anxiety, tension, to show affection and care, as a note of friendship and at times, for nothing.

80. Just to feel the monsoon, I got drenched in rain by choice

65. Every now and then, I've been eating loads of chocolates,,,, and yeah, with my bro, I ate 10 kgs of mango in 3 days.

32. One of ex-colleague, told on Sunday, that, I've put on weight, and Monday, my colleagues scolded me, saying I have lost weight :(

86. Wanted to watch Mahabharat, happened to watch Ramayan (read it as Rajneeti and Raavanan)

57. My 50th post was my first ever attempt at Haiku.

Feel my love

Seriously feeling short of topics to blog, as I'm busy these days with my work, personal commitments, friends' weddings (yeah, 7 friends in one month is not a joke), not able to have that creative eye for things, not observant enough and all lame reasons..

But, all are true!! :(

Well, here is a post to fill the gap!!

While reading an article about the movie "I hate luv storys", I came across a word called "Old-fashioned" love stories!! Very sadly the same article equates "Old-fashioned" as "Iconic" too. Where the hell did they get the meaning/definition for "Love" in the first place? How did they categorize it further as Old & New? What's iconic?
oops, oops, get me one copy of the same dictionary pls!!!

But, yeah, that obviously made me listen to my all time fav. song once again. "Feel my love" from the movie Arya.
So, here are the lyrics & video of the song :), again, No translation here. It's not all that difficult to understand though, and it's one of those hopelessly romantic types :)

Is Arya's love old-fashioned? iconic? or the thing of past?
Waiting to see the movie "I hate luv storys" for the so-called new defn of love!! :)

What does marriage do to you!!

It's raining. It's both beautiful and ferocious.

All the girls:
Woow,, I just wanna go out and get drenched now!! Want to play in the rain right now.
Feel like eating hot samosa & jilebis now..
Need hot cup of coffee...

so cute. :D

All the men (Married & Unmarried):
Wish I just could go for a drink in this cold weather.

Well, what more is expected. So typical of them.

But..........
In this most romantic weather out there, one married lady says,
oh no. Hope my husband has reached home. I've put the clothes in the terrace for drying...

oops!!!!

Euphoria!!!

Your hot breath

Mélangé with my paced heart beats

Pure Ecstasy!!

Honesty/Loyalty is Innocence

Read it in a blog and I repeat it here!!

We talk about how blogging can be one activity in which you can vent out your pent up feelings without bothering how people are going to judge you...... but when it comes to facing the real situation of getting engaged/married, we start deleting the posts to cover the dark secrets of life.

We expect full honesty n faithfulness from our partners, but in deep corners of our own life - we still are running from the world.

Why people want to keep lying to themselves till it becomes too big to hide?

----
Yes, Have seen people doing exactly the same.... Why do (some) people pretend to be someone else (or what the others around them, want them to be), talk and behave in a way which is not themselves.. What for??
Or even why do people ever grow up so much, that they do not understand themselves?

I happened to meet a person, who said, with every boy friend, she realizes what she is and has a clear view what she wants in life???!! (Yes, thats exactly what she told and I was horrified with such comments, wel!!!, I'm not grown up to even react!!!)

From where did all the complications in life ever crept up? People easily change their relationships, with friends, with partners and other people around them.. And consider it to be "OK"... {Its more like saying "Men may come n men may go, but I go on forever}... [Lucky, at least parents cannot be changed]

- Abrupt end -

Love!!!

Love isn't just winning heart,
It's more of feeling its beat,
Love isn't talking all u want,
It's more to speak in silence.

Love isn't seeing things in each other,
It's more of seeing everything together,
Love isn't spending every moment together,
It's more of feel the presence in absence.

Love isn't just always talking sweet,
It's more of saying what's in heart,
Love isn't about presents and gift,
It's more of respect the very presence.

Love isn't just dreaming of being together,
It's more of being there for each other,
Love isn't just giving everything there,
It's more of respecting each others space.

Love is like a stream or a river,
Which has a continuous soft flow,
Love is like always a fresh air,
Which continually touches us slow.

Love is like a clear blue sky,
Which keeps our spirits too high,
Love is like a soft burning fire,
Which lights within us the desire.

Love isn't what all we think,
It's not even what we all talk,
Its all which exists on this earth,
Which makes us realize our depth.

Laughter!! Control, if you can!!

Can anyone be ever so successful in making everyone laugh, for more than 70 years!! Yes, my fav "Tom & Jerry", they have been doing this.
All of us have seen this particular 10 minutes video. But, little I knew that, this is the first ever creation by the great duo, "William Hanna & Joseph Barbera".
This particular video was produced in 1939 & released on Feb 10, 1940 :D

Though lost Oscars in 1940, it has remained in our hearts for ever.
Every kid's favourite, I can almost say, kids learn to laugh their heart out with these characters.
And for me, it always catches the attention and makes me glued to TV.

Trivias:
1. The only credential shown in the video is "a Rudolf Ising Production"
1. Though it didn't make it to Oscars, this video won Academy Awards.
1. MGM had no intention of creating any follow-up cartoons, but the Awards supported "H&B" request to do so.
1. T&J shorts made their Television debut only in 1975.
1. The Video doesn't show the name as "Tom & Jerry", as it was christened later.
1. Tom's name is "Jasper" & Jerry's is said to be "Jinx" (though, the name is not shown in Video)
1. At over nine minutes in length, this is the longest theatrical Tom and Jerry short released.
1. This is one of three Tom and Jerry shorts where the title is a pun on the fairytale Puss in Boots. The others are Puss n' Toots and Puss 'n' Boats.
1. The maid (Mammy-two-shoes), black lady's face is never shown in any of the Tom & Jerry's cartoons.. (I so so wish to see her face, for once)
1. In 2003, T&J appeared in a commercial for Ford Mondeo, for the first time.

PS: There is a saying in kannada "Bekkige Chellata, Ilige pranasankata", which means, What's Fun for cat is pain for mouse. But, these characters have actually reversed it. Unlike our normal cats, Tom is not out to eat Jerry, but only to trouble/torment him, but most of the time, end up being the victim himself.

Policophobia

Inc.1

When we are about to enter the New Year, obviously none wants to be in the office. But, we got permission to go home, only after 9:30pm. So, all of us, hurriedly packed our bags and rushed. As my colleague hadn’t got his vehicle, I agreed to drop him on the way. In a journey of 15 kms, all that he did is to keep a count of how many times I jumped a red signal. When I dropped him, the count had reached 13. Well, I’m a safe driver, who’ll just not take any risks on road and know my vehicle very well. But, still not a virtue of a good citizen. Agree!!

Inc. 2

Was caught in a mad mad traffic, and as I’d to take right turn, just came a lil ahead on the right side. But, the many vehicles started honking like crazy, and as the traffic flow had reduced from all the other sides, I took turn some 2 seconds before the “GO” signal was on again. Hmmm, for my bad luck, the traffic police noticed it and tried stopping my vehicle. I’d made a mistake and paying the fine was my duty. But, I was not ready to talk to them. So, took u turn, and started driving on the right side of the road,, Goddd, was I too lucky, that, there was no vehicles from the opposite side.. I took turn to the immediate next road I could find, and didn’t stop riding till the end of that road. And, through out, I’d a feeling of the traffic police chasing me, not for one, but 2 mistakes I did that moment on the road.

Hmmm,, Mistakes done and, though have not met with any accident till date (luckily!!), all those signal jumps and riding without helmet, has costed me more than just money. I’m suffering from Policophobia.

I’m trying to overcome the same, by following all the rules on road, these days. But, realized that I’m not gonna be cured soon.

Coz,

This weekend was completely about shopping and roaming with friends. As I entered a small cross in Malleshwaram, I saw the traffic police standing there. My heart beat increased like in the Inc.2 and in a fraction of second, I thought of whether

I’ve all the documents,

I’ve not entered one way

Not jumped any signal

Wearing my helmet……….…

In the next fraction, I realized, I was walking down the lane and not riding: D

Traffic!!

Confused ppl, confuse others!! Traffic post near Cantonment railway station!! :D

Corporate Blues!!

I've spent years together in the corporate field & it has been an wonderful opportunity for me to learn things. Here are few of those!!

1. People are tend to listen & do things for you, not if you respect them, but by showing you have more power over them.
2. Dont be modest & humble. Make sure to have big mouth about what you do coz silence is really not golden & whoever told "actions speak louder than words", they told a lie.
3. Be selfish and only selfish. Always ask what's in it for you.
4. Interested to learn more, being helpful to others are never called virtues.
5. Only rats win rat race.
6. What's preached to you, doesn't mean it was practised before.

Sad lessons, I've understood but will never possibly apply in my career. I'm not someone who is in mad mad hurry to grow up in the hierarchy very fast. But I want to learn all possible stuff which comes my way and do a wonderful job with things given to me. If anyone ever asked me, why I didnt apply for a particular promotion, I've always told, I still have time, I'm in no hurry to be CEO :D
Yeah, but things never turns out to be the way you think. For sometime, I felt bad for not getting what I deserved and I've only realised, never to be idealistic nor to expect anyone to be fair & just towards you...
well, from last one week I'm back to track, I can say :)

Oops, being so serious in talk, makes me feel myself boring.

During those days, when I wasn't feeling all the chirpy & bubbly, one of my good friend appeared online and piece of that conversation was like this:

A: Hey, how was your appraisal?
Me: lol, I would prefer to tell someother joke :)
A: :D
Me: Same joke or Sardarji joke?
A: Sardarji.. :)
Me: Sardarji was thinking..
-2 min of silence-
Me: Joke is over..
A: ooh, you made me a sardarji :)

Well, I have so many such PJs in my kitty, that people actully try to kill me with their stare. (ah, they're not so powerful, anyway ;) ) To laugh at the things is the best way to make our day better, I realised :)

PS: No offense to Sardars, nor I'm racist. That too, I'm a huge huge fan of our great PM from the time he was FM 91. I only wish, I could put my manager name there, if it was not official chat interface.

Crowddddddddd!!!

Had seen the crowd in the malls, but for first time, saw at least 100 mtrs queue, to join the crowd !!!

Avatar & my own concerns !!!

Watched the movie Avatar, and really felt, it’s another version of Independence day, with its story line.

Well, In Independence day, there was an alien attack on earth, coz they had run out of their natural resources and saw they could take more from earth. In Avatar, its the same, but that the human beings are the attackers, looking for the precious mineral and Na’vi tribe is being attacked. If in Independence Day, all the fundoo technology and weapons are being used, and in Avatar, it’s in even a clandestine level of getting in to the genetically engineered bodies to interact with the tribe.

The way the Na'vi tribe lives in harmony with the nature, made me ask the basic question again to myself, are we living the nature way?

Human beings are no doubt the most brilliant/intelligent race (as per science) & high lightened race (as per all possible mythology)... Call it industrialization, or exploring more or understanding the nature way,,, we have only exploited every bit of nature of its most valuable resources, taken every other race of species for granted, killed & used for lavish/luxury purpose,, Who ever gave human being such right to do so? Is this called being intelligent or high lightened.. Where is the good old "Humanity" in human beings? Understanding the laws of nature doesn’t make us any free from obeying it...

All said & done, even I have a vehicle which runs on petrol, have a mobile which obviously causes radiation, carry plastic & other non bio degradable stuffs, all possible electrical items,,, the benefit of which I surely enjoy.. This reminds me of a friend, who decided to give up on his mobile, but, had to switch back in a yrs time... I feel as if I'm a link in the chain, which cannot be cut, howsoever , but in turn I add to the strength of the chain (though, unwillingly!!)

But, any day, if such tribes are to be destroyed by human beings to exploit the resources, I would say, "Survival of the fittest" and only humanity should survive... What’s the point being human, without humanity!!!

I strongly go with Jake Sully :)

I can!!!

Hiring......

New hire:

The employer and the employee meet each other for a small amount of time for a Q&A session (Official term is Interview). After answering each other’s question, if they think that, they would make a good team and offer letter is rolled out.

Is it any different from Arranged marriage, where in a guy & girl meet for little time, and expected to take major decision of their life??

Employee Referral:

The existing employee of the company refers his/her friend for the position available. Resume will be sent across and though the same process like the new hire is followed, the person who referred will put across few more good words to make sure his/her referral is selected.

Likewise, if the candidate hired doesn't perform upto the level, the employer has someone in the company to blame: D

In match fixing term, uncles or aunts or someone in the family often comes out with proposals of their friends' daughter/son and they try to convince that the person is best in the world and a promise of a very good life: D

IJP:

Yes, the employee is a known person to the boss. When there is an opening for the next level, depending on whether the particular candidate meets the criteria, the offer is given to the person. But on a probation basis and the performance in that position is evaluated on a timely basis. If the candidate doesn't meet the expectation, at times given extension under the same role before confirmation. If the person is doesn’t meet the criteria in any aspect, or fail to achieve the expectation by the boss, it might lead to cancellation of continuing in that higher level and will have to return to the previous level. If the candidate is too hurt, he/she will considering quitting the job :(

Any different in live in??

Promotion:

The employer already knows the eligibility of the candidate for the role. And in the coming promotion cycle, the offer letter is rolled out.. Though there is a small discussion in between, for formality.

I can say, marrying your best buddy or childhood friend, is more or less the same. Knowing & understanding each other is already in place, there is good rapport too. So, they say "why not tie a knot and be happy forever?"

The enthu before & after is just the same in both marriage & the new company... (arrgghh,, I'm being too cynical,, I'll stop here!! )

PS: In any types of marriage, there is an unexplainable element called love too, which can never be applied in Hiring Procedure :D

PPS: Being die hard fan of a feeling called "Love", I havent linked it with any Hiring procedure.

PPPS: You can add more how ever you wish to :D,, and I'm not allergic to good dose of laughter :P

Routine!!! :X

As I observe, how my days pass by,, I feel so bad,, My week doesn’t have seven days, but, only two days - Work day and Holiday..

The work days are real routine.. I get up at almost the same time everyday hearing the same stuff from mom!! "get up soon, get ready, you don't eat properly,, I've cooked xxxx for you!!!" (lucky, xxxx change everyday) and then I get ready to go to work, eat, pooja, followed by the tea (which is again almost the same taste everyday).

Then, come to office at the same time,, and from then, starts another boring routine.

Work & fun,, Am I doing anything great in the office, that has brought some little change, in the minutest level??

Nope, the tragedy of working with numbers are, even after doing this work for years together, you have not done anything substantial, but only calculated, how much change others did in some corner of the world...

The world is changing, people bring in change and there is life out there,, but we, the no. crunching people calculate and present the change in the most beautiful, colorful way with graphs, charts..

The sad thing is, when @ work, my learning is at good speed and it comes down in the same speed and the boredom strikes within no time...

I'm no scientist who is ever trying to invent something, not even a warrior who has to be on his toes every single moment of his life...

I'm not saying I don't like my work... I really appreciate and try to bring justice to what I do. And I even love maths... Not to boast, but I topped in that subject in the school for 3 consecutive yrs, (thanks to my dad, who was again good @ maths, in his schooldays)... I scored high in all the subjects, which had something to do with numbers...(genetically blessed for intelligence in numbers :D)

But, in spite of all these, all the working days, are, I can say, "5 days lived in one single way"!!

Yes, I do try to make the best of my holidays, with more rest than the other days ;) (I meant work days) school, friends, movies, lil roaming in & around this fav. city of mine, small time exploration the kitchen to test my culinary skills.. And, I do change these things in a real random way, so that I don't get bored there too...

Coz, I don't want to call that as "Sat & Sun - lived in one single way!!"

To get the monotony out of routine, I do try crazy things like keeping my wardrobe in a great state of mess, clicking all possible crazy stuff I see around, shout out a weird comment as I enter the office, Observing people around as I travel to office & back home...and many more.. (About the people, I would write more some other time!!) I'm trying to enjoy my routine, with my own small little interruptions, I add...

Well, something has just come up as an offer in my life, in which my weekday is going to be changed. Just another thing added to the routine, But wherein, doing that I feel, I would mean something as a human being to other fellow human beings around me!! (Too discrete, eh!!??)

Will surely tell you all when it materializes. Wish me luck!!

(hey dear Calvin, I love you,, Me too don't like monotony in the routine, but I'm not as brilliant as you ;))
